Shopping for my First Car

So, its been busy lately; I haven't told you guys about my carshopping experience.Well, Ive been working on it since last year, trying to find a decent private sale. Well, let me tell you, in my town its nothing but overpriced *shit*. I refuse to pay two-thousand dollars for a 1980-Whatever-Whatever; waste of money, especially in the condition cars are usually in. I could have got an 86 Chevrolet Celebrity for 1000 dollars, but the owner did NOT even try. We went to test the car; the body was in poor shape, the car had over 150000 kms and the *tires were even empty*. Thats a bad sign. Then after much searching, a buddy let me know he was selling his parents' 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier. I like those cares; theyre nice, good on fuel, cheap to fix; it was almost a sale. To top it off, Cavalier is the english approximation of the world Chevalier, meaning horseman, the english equivalent of a Knight; and dammit, I've always been fascinated by knights; and at 350 dollars, it seemed like a steal of a deal; it testdrove nice, really nice..around town at least. We went to get it saftied at our usual garage (which is out on the highway) , only to realize it was a lemon; I'm no garage monkey, so all I can tell you is that a solenoid was causing the transmission to lock up as soon as it started to get hot; and this was on a -30Celsius day in the middle of the winter; imagine it at city speeds on a hot summer day; it could stall on turns. And it would have cost around 900 dollars CDN to fix, including all its other minor problems, IF it only needed 3 days labour. Not happening. So, I slipped back into a carless depression. That was, at least, till my mother got tired of having me search town for private sales. We went shopping around, and found nothing better then the second car we saw. Wandering into a dealership, we saw, off in the corner, a mint-condition 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. We asked how many kms was on the car; the dealer said 88000, thats great. We asked what was wrong with it. Nothing, he said. Even better. We asked how much. "5500 and it rolls." he said.
...Dammit, I need a loan. But yeah; looks just like that, same flawless condition, inside and out. Its a beautiful car, and I really hope it can be mine. Sooner we own it, sooner I can practice driving so I can get my license and go travel. My loan appointment is tommorrow at 11:30 so...lets hope I get the money! I'm so psyched I might get to drive something like that! Woo!

PS: I just noticed this might be the first thing I've given more of a shit about then a good anime; my god. Might have to change my callsign to KuRuMa-Kun soon XD
